TOURNAMENT RULES

2.0 ATTENDANCE

2.0.1  For Starcraft 2/Hearthstone players, only the registered player is able to attend and play in the live tournament phases, no substitute players may take the registered players position under any circumstance.

2.0.2  All players must absorb all costs to attend the event.

 

3.0 UNFAIR PLAY

The following actions will be considered unfair play and will be subject to penalties at organisers discretion.

3.0.1  The use of any cheat program and/or map hack program

3.0.2  An intentional disconnection without a proper and explicitly stated reason

3.0.3  The use of any settings exceeding the standard and permitted settings

3.0.4  Intentionally allowing an opponent to win a game or colluding with another player to decide a match outcome or split prize money.

3.0.5  Unsportsmanlike conduct or disruptive behavior such as inappropriate and/or unprofessional actions directed towards another player or tournament official.

3.0.6  The use of a game bug/glitch

3.1 PENALTIES FOR UNFAIR PLAY

Upon discovery of any player committing any violations regarded as unfair play, the tournament director may issue any or all the following penalties, at his/her sole discretion.

3.1.1  Verbal Warning

3.1.2  Prize Money Deduction

3.1.3  Game Forfeiture

3.1.4  Tournament Disqualification

 

4.0 EQUIPMENT:

Players are not required but are advised to bring the following to the live event:

– Earphones or Headphones
– Mouse
– Keyboard

 

5.0 PRIZES:

5.0.1  Players that are eligible for prize money will have the money deposited into the nominated account of their choice (1 account only) no more than fourteen (14) days after the conclusion of the event. Payment is usually completed within 24 hours of tournament completion.

5.0.2  Players that are eligible for physical prizes will have the prize delivered to their nominated address (1 address only) no more than thirty (30) days after the conclusion of the event. Physical prizes are usually distributed on the day of competition.

6.0 MATCH DETAILS:

6.0.1  Matches must start no later than 15 minutes past the allotted time. Please inform an admin if your opponent cannot be contacted.

6.0.2  Both players must report the results to the selected tournament referee.

6.0.3  All players must use recognisable and consistent game IDs; profanity laden names are unacceptable.

6.0.4  Pauses for technical Difficulties may last up to 5 minutes, with 3 pauses allowed per player per game.

6.0.5  If there are any concerns with behaviour or confusion with rules, please see a referee as soon as possible for clarification.

6.0.6  Games are to be played on the SEA Battle.net region for Starcraft 2, unless all players agree to play on a different server.

6.0.8 The MorroW Rule: Race swapping is allowed in instances where the main race is used for the majority of the tournament, ie a match up needs to be specified where a swap is to take place. EG A Protoss player plays out PvZ & PvT for the majority of the tournament but specifies TvP (instead of PvP) as their nominated race swap match up.

7.0.1 The map pool will use the official 2014 WCS Global Finals map pool as follows:
