BarCraft Melbourne XXII

Last Saturday at BarCraft Melbourne XXII, the hundred plus strong crowd saw INNOBAYSHUN rekt soO to claim his first GSL title and condemn soO to second place once more and contemplate a name change to ‘Yellow’! I had plenty of fun on the night and I am sure everyone else did as can be seen in the photos below.

The Fringe was in fine form serving up icy cold beers and the best wood fired pizza in Australia. You really can’t go past the Boscaiola and a pint of 100 Taps when enjoying eSports on the big screen!

We also had fantastic support from Kingston HyperX with heaps of gear given out to the punters with Kingston Stress Heads, Pen Holders, wristbands and protective cases. The knockout trivia comp was ultimately won by Eddie (yes, the guy that runs the largest online tournaments for SEA including the Masters Cup & the OSEANIC StarCraft Championship) where he collected the awesome HyperX Cloud Headset. Hope you get plenty of enjoyment out of that quality piece of kit, Eddie, I am very jealous!

It was also great to give out the lucky door prize of the Villains Lootcrate to a BarCraft newbie. Congratulations Caitlin, your scream of excitement as I called out your name was awesome ;) There are a heap of great goodies in that Lootcrate so I hope you get plenty of enjoyment from it – send us a selfie of the limited edition ‘Joki’ t-shirt if you can.

PJ from Blizzard ANZ has been a great supporter of our events and again came through with the goods. Jason was the final victor in the Rock Paper Scissors comp and pocketed one of the highly sort after StarCrafts Zergling plushies taking the final 2-0 with some solid rock play.

Josh & Jack from Pandom Gaming were also in attendance taking some footage of the event and will be putting it into a bit of highlight reel. Really looking forward to see how that turns out and hearing my shouts of ‘INNOBAYSHUN’ dubbed over it.

If you have any feedback or ideas for future events, I’d love to hear it so drop me a line in the comments below or tweet me @rezyn8

Our attention now turns to our sold out Worlds Viewing Party at Village Cinemas Crown on October 19th for League of Legends, followed by PAXAus at the end of the month. BlizzCon kicks off the weekend after and then we will be hosting the Domination Cup at the end of November. So there is still plenty of eSports & Gaming related events happening over then next couple of months.

Hope to see you again soon! ♥
